Washington Wizards Hats

The Washington Wizards are the NBA team of the US capital. Formerly known as the Bullets, the team gained popularity when Michael Jordan made his comeback there alongside Gilbert Arenas and co. Washington Wizards caps are therefore never wrong in an NBA collection.

The Washington Wizards were founded as the Chicago Packers in 1961. After one year they changed their name to Chicago Zephyrs, and again one year later they moved to Baltimore and changed their name to Baltimore Bullets. The Bullets had their first stars in Earl Monroe and Wes Unseld. In 1974 the Bullets moved to Washington and changed their name. In 1975 the Washington Bullets with Elvin Hayes were in the NBA Finals, but lost to the Golden State Warriors with Rick Barry. In 1978, the Bullets won their first and only NBA Championship against the Seattle SuperSonics. The following year, both teams were in the Finals again, but this time the Seattle team won. In the 80s, the Bullets were a consistent, but not really successful team. In 1997, with Chris Webber, Juwan Howard and Georghe Muresan, they reached the playoffs for the first time in a long time. After that season, the old Bullets name was dropped because it was too associated with violence and murder, and the Washington Wizards were born.

Between 2000 and 2003, Michael Jordan even co-owned the franchise and played actively for a short time from 2001 and 2003 in his last comeback. With Gilbert Arenas joining the team in 2003, a new era began for the Washington Wizards, who were once again perennial playoff contenders. However, when there was more and more trouble around Arenas, among other things because he had firearms in his locker, things also went downhill again in sporting terms. In 2010, John Wall was drafted as his successor, and from then on he was the face of the franchise. With Bradley Beal, a congenial partner was added in 2012, and the Wizards were from then on a serious opponent in the East. With the two German players Moritz Wagner and Isaac Bonga, the Washington Wizards are currently also very popular in Germany. The Washington Wizards play in the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference in the NBA. Their home games are played in the Capital One Arena in downtown Washington in front of up to 20,356 spectators. The team colors are blue, red, silver and white.

What are the most popular colors and logos for Washington Wizards caps?

Washington Wizards team colors are blue, red, silver and white. Therefore, most Washington Wizards Caps are blue, or classic black, and in rare cases red, white or gray. Since 2015, the current Washington Wizards logo features a red-and-blue basketball with the Monument and a silver star in the center.

On the outside is the team name on a red and blue background. In front of it, an abstract wizard was used that had a W for a body and held a basketball in one hand and a star in the other. In the background was a crescent moon with a basketball pattern. This logo was introduced in 1998 and used in gold and blue. In 2012, the team colors were changed to those of the US flag and the logo was also adjusted. The original Bullets logo was a blue lettering with the two L's being arms reaching for a red basketball. It was introduced in 1969 and kept throughout time and despite all the moves until 1997. Most Washington Wizards caps use the current logo. Retro variants also use the Wizard from time to time. The Bullets lettering, on the other hand, is very rarely seen on caps.
