Cleveland Browns Hats

Cleveland Browns fans had to wait a long time and listen to jokes about Cleveland clowns. After the Browns were historically bad in the seasons 2016 and 2017 and only won one game, the hype is now real. Baker Mayfield and Odell Beckham Jr. are good and popular players. It is therefore not surprising that the young and talented Cleveland Browns start with a grown fan base as one of the favorites in the new season - at least among the NFL fans.

The Cleveland Browns are one of the oldest and one of the youngest teams in the NFL. The original Cleveland Browns were founded in 1944 and initially took part in the NFL's competitive league, the All America Football Conference, where they won every championship in the four years of existence. In 1950 he moved to the NFL, where the Browns continued their successful careers with legendary quarterback Otto Graham and emerged three times as champions. Even after the dismissal of head coach Paul Brown, who gave the episode the Cleveland franchise, the Browns continued to dominate behind the legendary running back Jim Brown. In 1964 the fourth title was added to the collection. However, after the defeat in the final the following year and the shortly thereafter merging the NFL with the AFL, the Browns fell into a hole, so that there has been no end game participation in the Super Bowl era for the Browns to date.

In 1995, the Cleveland Browns were about to go out of business when owner Art Modell announced they would move the franchise to Baltimore. As a result, the city of Cleveland and Browns fans stepped on the barricades, so a compromise was found. The original Browns moved with all players, coaches and staff to Baltimore as intended and from then on formed the Baltimore Ravens. In return, the city of Cleveland was promised that by 1999 either a move or an expansion, a new team would be established in Cleveland that would continue the history of the Browns. So it came about that the Cleveland Browns rejoined the league for the 1999 season after a four-year break as a "new" expansion team. However, the Cleveland Browns could never really recover from the interim break, so that only one more playoff participation came in 2002 since the return. The 16 years without playoff participation are currently the longest series of the NFL. The Browns also made negative history in the 2017 season when they were the second NFL team to lose all of their 16 season games. However, it now appears that the Cleveland Browns have learned from past mistakes. With a very young and talented team, they have good chances to end the playoff drought in the coming season. With Baker Mayfield, a quarterback has finally been found in the 2018 draft, which sweeps the fans, the city and the teammates and creates a breakout mood among the Cleveland Browns and can engage Odell Beckham Jr., one of the most popular players in the whole NFL.

What types of hats and designs are available?

New Era offers the following versions:

- 9Forty The League Hat (strapback with curved peak)
- 59Fifty (fitted Hat with flat peak)
- 9Fifty (snapback hat with flat peak)
- Winter hats

Which colors and logos are the most popular?

The Cleveland Browns have been known for their very simple design since the merger of the NFL and AFL in 1970. Since then, a simple orange football helmet, which has only been adapted to the current helmet shape over the years, has been the logo of the Cleveland Browns. The team colors brown, orange and white have also not changed since the team was founded. Brownie the Elf, which served as the Brown coat of arms from 1948 to 1969, was no longer used from 1970, because owner Art Modell found it too childish. Nowadays Brownie the Elf is increasingly used on Cleveland Browns merchandise. In addition, the alternative logo of the Browns, a growling bulldog based on the fan section Dawg Pound, is currently enjoying increasing popularity.

Most Cleveland Browns fans have a traditional brown hat that has either the orange helmet as a logo or the Cleveland Browns lettering embroidered on the front.

Most popular hats:

- Sideline Hat Fitted 59Fifty
- Salute to Service Fitted Hat
- 9Forty The League Hat
- 9Fifty Snapback Hat

Which hat shapes are the most popular?

Fitted Hat by New Era (59fifty & 39thirthy) are traditionally the most popular among American football fans. The best-selling Cleveland Browns hats have the orange logo embroidered on the front. Since fitted hats are not for everyone, for example, we also offer snapback variants with the 9Fiftys, which are particularly popular with old school fans. New Era's camo-colored Salute to Service Hats, designed to show the NFL's gratitude to the United States military, are also very popular with Cleveland Browns fans. The Cleveland Browns Sideline Hats, which players also wear on the sidelines, are also very popular. In winter there are Sideline Collection hats that are perfect for the cold season.
